Every now and then, we should take the time to look back over our lives and think of His goodness to us. We know we could not have made it without the Lord. He is so good. He is all our help, as well as our hope and our strength. As the songwriter said, “All of our help comes from the Lord.” These words are true. We would never have made it without the Lord on our side. When I think of His goodness, it’s like
fire shut up in my bones. I can’t keep it to myself! I give Him praise and I thank Him! In Psalm 18:29 we find these words: “In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.” The psalmist gives praise to God for his strength. He is confident that he can live a victorious life in God. Someone once said, “I am living a blessed life.” The psalmists’ words echo these words. “In God’s strength I can crush an Army; with my God I can scale any wall.” The psalmist is stating that he is relying on God for His help and His protection. The psalmist makes it clear that he can call on the Lord for help. He knows that no weapon formed against himshall prosper. Read this entire chapter. Prayerfully each of us will discover that we can call on God in time of trouble and He will be our refuge. Thank God for His help!
