TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS
This may be the second or third time, I have written about taking responsibility for your actions. I would argue strongly that far too many believers take no responsibility for their wrongdoing. In fact, they are quick to blame someone else as if to say they are not at fault. We cannot blame others for the things that we do. God holds us accountable. Carefully note the word accountability, for God is watching how we live and what we do. I pray that your actions please God and that you acknowledge when you are wrong and ask God and others for forgiveness. Romans 8:9 is our scriptural reference today.
“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)”
In this chapter, Paul clearly states that in this new life with Christ, there is no condemnation to those who belong to Him. The Holy Spirit’s power has freed us from the power of sin. We are not controlled by our sinful nature. We cannot say that the devil did it; we must be accountable to God for what which we do. Paul writes that the power God gives through His Spirit allows us to live a life worthy unto God. When you can read all of chapter 8. Take full ownership of the things that you do. God will get the glory and your life will be blessed.
