There was a time in my ministry when I spent quite a bit of time trying to please people. I thought if I could please them, it would make things better. However, I discovered that no matter how much I tried, I could not please everyone. But thanks be to God that I quickly realized that the most important thing is God’s approval. No matter what you do, you will never be able to please some people. Many of you are
the same as me, trying to please others. However, we must remember that the only one who matters is God. In Galatians 1:10 we find these words:

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”

The humble servant of the Lord writes to his brothers and sisters in Galatia. He expresses his disappointment in those who have turned
away from God, encouraging them to turn back to Christ. He is not seeking approval from the people because he knows that not only can he not please the people, but it would not be Christ’s true testament if his message was anything other than for the glory of God. Whatever you do, make sure that you do it for the glory of God. Do not try to please people but aim to please God!
