STAY IN YOUR LANE
Today’s devotion entitled Stay In Your Lane, is one that all of us need to strive to do daily. Honor God every day by staying in your lane and by not crossing in another’s lane. Do not do something that God has not given you the call to do. Honor God by using the gifts He has given to us for His Glory. We cannot allow the flesh to move us off our lane. We cannot become envious of others for we are all a part of the body of Christ. There are many parts to the body, having their own function. In other words, just do what God has given you the ability to do. Be grateful that you have been given gifts. Use your gifts. Staying in your lane is crucial in your walk and it is recorded in Romans 12:4.
“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function,”
Paul writes about spiritual gifts and goes to great lengths to explain unity in the body of Christ. He indicates that we are individual members who share in a common life. Each of us needs each other. Let us use the different gifts we have. In other words, Paul is saying, stay in your lane. Do not try to use another’s gifts. Use the gifts God has given to you for it has purpose and meaning. Read this entire chapter when you can. Give God thanks for whatever gift you have. It would be ridiculous for me to try to lead a solo on the choir. All would know that I am way out of my lane. I could go on and on. Countless people have never discovered the lessons of staying in their lane. Prayerfully, this devotion will help you in some way appreciate and use the gifts God has given to you for His glory.
