At times in our lives, when we need to write a new chapter and be willing to let some things go and start anew with God.  If we are honest, there are times we need a change in our lives because some of the things we are dealing with have dealt with us before. It is a blessing to know that no matter where we are, God gives us opportunity to start again. The time of renewal is a time to begin a new and exciting relationship with God. Discover a new way that God has in store for us. Today’s devotion speaks clearly of starting anew in Isaiah 38:3 and reads in this manner.

““Remember, O Lord, how I have always been faithful to You and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases You.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly.”

In this scripture, we see Hezekiah’s sickness almost unto death. The Lord told him to go to the King and to set his affairs in order. He was given an opportunity to start anew. He heard this, fell on his knees, and began to pray. He knew he needed a new beginning. He came to confess before the Lord. The Lord gave Him a new beginning. That is what our God does, granting new opportunities. Today, my fervent prayer is that no matter where you are you ask God to grant to you a new and exciting beginning. We all need it at times and God is there to renew us with a new season. May this new season be one that you can start anew.
