Standing With Others
We were never meant to live or serve alone because the hand of God links us together. We need one another. Our choirs sing the song “I Need You to Survive.” Some of the lyrics are, “I need you, you need me. We’re all a part of God’s body.” We stand shoulder-to-shoulder and heart-to-heart with one another as men and women of God. In Ecclesiastes 4:9, we find these words:
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”
These are profound words of wisdom! When two or three touch and agree, the Lord is in their midst (Matthew 18:20). Two are better than one. We can serve better and love better when we unite. It’s not about being selfish or self-centered, but about our ability to connect with another. Verse 10 says “if one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Read these words closely to see the value added to our lives. Today, I pray that we are all standing with someone else. I’ve said on many occasions that we all need a prayer partner so that we can hold each other accountable to God, prevent each other from falling, and praying for one another. Stand with others as God stands with each of us.
