Chosen 300 Ministry is one of the great ministries Bethlehem has been blessed to partner with. It is a ministry that provides people in need with meals, and various congregations in our surrounding community are part of this outreach ministry. Years ago, when Bethlehem first took part in this ministry, we named our ministry Feeding The Homeless. Every third Saturday, members of BBC go into Philadelphia to share with those in need – both physically and spiritually. Their souls are fed first with the Word of God, then they are served dinner for their physical needs.  Under the leadership of Deacon Jerome and Deaconess Joan Brickey, the ministry was renamed “Gifted to Serve.”  In John 6:35, we find these words:

“Jesus replied, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

The Master makes it clear that He is the Living Bread from Heaven. He, and He alone, gives and sustains life in abundance. He provides what we need for sustenance of life. His bread restores and strengthens us. Those who believe shall never thirst or hunger. Thank God today that He is the Spiritual Bread of life.
