SIGNS AND WONDERS
We walk by faith and not by sight. This is so important for believers to understand. There may be times when God will give us signs of things not yet seen, but our faith will need to be strong enough to embrace God’s miraculous power. We serve a God who has a marvelous source of power seen throughout this world every day. But as people of faith, we must always have our eyes open so that we can see what God is doing. He has a way of making Himself known to us. Remember, our faith must always be strong so that we can see His signs and wonders. In John 4:48, we find these words:
Jesus asked, “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”
Jesus had left Judea and returned to Galilee. As He traveled through Galilee, He came to Cana where He had turned the water to wine. There was a government official in nearby Capernaum whose son was very ill. The official begged Jesus to come and heal his son. The Master posed the question in verse 48, because the Master wanted the official to understand the importance of believing without seeing. In verse 50, Jesus said to the official, “Go back home. Your son will live!” And the man believed what Jesus said and started home.” When you get a chance read the story. It speaks to us about the importance of faith and a willingness to trust in the Lord.
