The God we serve grants us blessings every day. I cannot count the many blessings that I have received, and I know I’m not alone.  When I look back over my life, I can see clearly how God has showered me with the blessings I needed for strength, power, love — everything that I needed. All I can say is, “Thank you, Lord!” In Ezekiel 34:26, we find these words:

 ^“I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.”

In this chapter, we see the Lord’s Covenant of Peace. The Lord will bless the people and they will live safely in the wilderness without fear. They will no longer have to be concerned about their safety, for the Lord will grant them His power. He tells them, in verse 31, “You are my flock, the sheep of my pasture. You are my people, and I am your God. I, the Sovereign LORD have spoken!” The people will receive all that God has promised. And the same God who blessed them will shower us with blessings as well!
