SEEKING A BREAKTHROUGH
Today’s devotion speaks of the need to seek a breakthrough in your life. I know well that many reading this devotion are seeking a breakthrough. Life has become challenging to say the least. They are looking for a new lease on life and want to break free from the pain that they have been enduring. However, know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God has the power to bring forth a breakthrough. The scripture reference is Matthew 6:33 and reads in this manner.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”
In this deep and moving passage of scripture, Jesus, the Master Teacher is teaching of money and possessions. He makes it clear that no one can serve two masters. He speaks of the need not to worry for God can take care of the lilies of the field and He can surely take care of us. So, for those needing a breakthrough seek the Kingdom of God. Put God first above all else. He will give you what you need. Our breakthrough will come when we put God first. Our breakthrough will come when we learn to trust Him. Our breakthrough will come when we stop serving two masters. Our breakthrough will come when we go to God in prayer and seek to do His will and work. Our breakthrough will come when we give our worries to Him knowing that He cares for us. Look what the Master says as He closes this chapter. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Let us follow that valuable lesson. Do not borrow tomorrow’s troubles. Live each day to its fullest and you will experience the breakthrough God gives each new day.
