SEEING THE MULTITUDES
It is amazing how God sees each of us in a unique way. We cannot comprehend the incredible love that God has for each of us. He looks beyond our faults and sees our needs, our pain and our hearts. He sees us just as we are, and sees just what we stand in need of, no matter how large the crowd. In Matthew 5:1, we find these words:
“One day as He saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. His disciples gathered around Him.”
Upon seeing the large crowd of people gathering, the Master taught them The Beatitudes (Verses 3-12.) He taught them the values and principles of life, saying that God blesses those who are poor, those who mourn, those who are humble, those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart and the peacemakers. After each Beatitude, Jesus also talked about the reward they would receive. Read The Beatitudes to see how the multitude of people were blessed. Jesus taught and blessed them. He did not lecture, scorn or condemn them, but spoke words of blessings to them. We find our path for righteous living in these words. We need to read these words and apply them to our lives. According to the Word of God, we shall be blessed.
