As I am writing this devotion, I am thinking of a song that our Bethlehem Baptist Church Agape Praise Team sings. The lyrics say, “I’ll say yes to the Lord. Yes, to His will.” That should not just be a song, but our response when God speaks to us. Say, “Yes, Lord, whatever you want me to do; I am here to do it. Wherever you want me to go, I will go.”  The question I pose before you read further is, have you said yes to the Lord? Is your yes, really, yes? Can God count on you with your yes response? Only you can answer that question. Prayerfully, you can say, “Here am I, send me.” Philippians 2:14 is our scriptural text today.

“Do everything without complaining and arguing,”

In this passage, Paul, the humble servant of the Lord encourages the people of Philippi to shine brightly for the Lord and to respond to Him in their daily living. Do what pleases the Lord without complaining and arguing. We should underline that, for at times we complain too much. We should say, “Yes, Lord” without hesitation. Remember, when we ask the Lord for something, and He says “Yes” that is the way we should say, “Yes”. “No” is not acceptable. Simply say, “Yes”.
