Next month, we will be blessed with a two-day revival in our congregation. Pastor Alyn E. Waller, of Enon Tabernacle Church, will be our revivalist. He is a gifted and anointed servant of God who has grown Enon Tabernacle to be one of the strongest congregations in the nation. He has been coming to Bethlehem for several years, and we look forward to him coming again. We pray for all congregations who are having a fall revival. If there was ever a time that we needed a revival in our nation, it is now. We sing the song, “Revive Us Again.”  Lord knows we need to be revived. Not only in our families. So many things have happened since January 1st. We are asking God congregations, but in our to send a revival! In Habakkuk 3:2, we find these words:

“I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.”

The prophet of the Lord asks God to make Himself known as the creator of the world and all of life. Habakkuk has a sense of reverence for God as he speaks from his heart. The prayer of the prophet is that God’s judgment also be given with mercy. He cries out to the Lord, for he is in deep need of revival. This is his prayer, and it is also my prayer. I am praying that God will send us a revival — a movement, and not simply an event that fills the church calendar. I am praying that He will send us a revival that will set us free, renew us, and refresh us! Pray for a revival, regardless of the congregation you attend. Pray for our nation because it, too, needs to be revived.
