The United Negro College Fund has a theme that says, “A Mind Is a terrible thing to waste.” How true those words are. I would add, what goes in your mind is important. Our minds cannot be filled with fleshly thoughts. Thoughts turn into deeds and before you know it, you are on the road to destruction. Our minds need to be renewed with the mind of Christ. We think different and consequently, we act differently. It has also been said that, “so one thinketh so he is.” If you think evil, you will do evil. If you think good, you will do good. A renewed mind is crucial in our walk with God. Romans 12:2 speaks to this matter:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, is aware that our bodies cannot be a living sacrifice acceptable unto God when our minds are not renewed. According to Paul, you cannot have the knowledge of God unless our minds are changed. Paul is assured that by renewing our minds we are given new life and power by God’s hand. The result of this transformation is to prove and discern the will of God. Prayerfully, your mind is renewed and that you are walking and living in the will of God.
