Praying with Faith
When we pray, we must always pray with faith; for we know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Lord hears the prayers of the faithful. Therefore, we have to believe that God will answer our prayers. We gather every morning at 6AM for our Church Without Walls prayer service. I have been moved by many of the prayers that have been answered for those who have prayed with faith. Matthew 17: 20-21 says “… if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move …” There are many mountains in our lives that need to be moved. Our prayers must always be grounded in faith, trusting and believing that God can do anything but fail. In Mark 11:24, we find these words:
“‘I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.’”
Jesus’ faith was in obedience to do the will of God; consequently, He spoke clearly about what faith can do through the power of prayer. Jesus spoke regularly about the awesome power of prayer when faith is applied. It is my prayer today that every time we pray, we pray with faith, and that faith is the foundation upon which our prayers are offered. God answers prayers!
