PRAYER HAS POWER
I have written many times about the “Church without Walls.” It’s simply an hour of power where people from across the nation come together on a teleconference call to pray. We have witnessed God answering so many prayers. There have been prayers for healing, comfort, guidance and forgiveness, and by the power of God, those prayers have been answered. But it’s not just the prayers on the “Church without Walls” that have been answered, because God answers prayers everywhere! He answers prayers in hospitals, nursing homes, and even prisons. Pray for it, and God will surely bring it to past. I know how many prayers God has answered in my life. Before you read any more of this devotion, take the time to reflect upon the many times you have called on the Lord, as well as the many times He answered your call. We serve a prayer answering God! His power is made known when we pray. In Philippians 4:6 we find these words,
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all He has done.”
Paul writes words of encouragement to his fellow believers. He does not want them to spend their time worrying but encourages them to pray. Paul is well aware of the power of prayer. He learned to live on almost nothing, but through this experience he discovered that the Lord gave him strength. He never stopped praying, and his prayers included praise. Prayerfully today we have all discovered the power of prayer the same as Paul. Give God praise for the power of prayer!
