When we pray, we are to pray in the name of the Lord. His Power, Healing, and
forgiveness are all in His Name. Just call on the Name of the Lord. Our prayer can
simply be, “Lord have mercy.” God will hear us. We can also say, “Father, I stretch
my hand to thee, no other help I know” and ask God for whatever it is that you need.
If you are sick, in trouble, no matter what the situation, just call on Him. And, if you
are grateful for this day, call on Him and thank Him! In John 14:13, find these words:
“You can ask anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.”
Jesus, the Master Teacher, responds to Phillip’s questions, telling him and the others that anyone who believes in Him will do the same work that He has done and even greater, and that work will bring glory to the Father. The Master told them that they can ask for anything in His name, and it shall be done. When you get a chance, read these words found in the Gospel of John. Prayerfully, we are striving to discover how to pray in His name. When we pray, we are praying that His will be done, and that we
may know Him as Lord and Savior of our lives.
