We give God praise for a living hope. Our prayer lives speak of the hope we have in Christ Jesus. Our knowledge that we have a Savior who is with us is a blessing beyond words. The resurrected Christ is among us and with us, providing the hope we need. This glorious hope strengthens us day by day. Our risen Lord abides with us, no matter what problems or burdens we may face, for we have the blessings of God’s power. In 1 Peter 1:3, we find these words:

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation,”

Peter brings forth the fact that hope is rooted in praise. Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peter makes it clear that of all the things he is thankful for, there is one thing that is paramount — the gift of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus rose from the dead, our hope is not a wish, it is as alive as He is!  For that we have every reason to rejoice! We praise God today for the blessed gift of Jesus Christ. Praise God!
