As the people of God, we are called to stand strong in the face of the enemy. However, we are only able to do this by the power of His strength. In I Peter 5:10, we find these words:

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”

The writer makes it clear that we have to watch out for the enemy. He is on the prowl, seeking whom he might devour. But we are called to stay strong in our faith and stand firm against him. God will restore our strength, and we will be able to stand on a firm foundation because all power belongs to Him. Thank God, today, for the power that comes from the Lord’s mighty hand! When we are weak, His power strengthens us. No matter what we are going through, His grace is sufficient for every need. There will be times in our lives when our strength will falter, but His power will renew us. What a blessing it is to know that even though we might suffer for a while, He will restore our strength! The devil may try to drain us dry, but our God will fill us with the power of His strength.
