While writing this, I thought of the devotion from November 3rd. In Proverbs, we are reminded that God has plans for us to do good and prosper, but we must be willing to follow His plans. The Word of God also says that the “steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” We just need to follow where He leads.  In Proverbs 16:9, we find these words:

“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”

The writer states that man proposes, but God disposes. We plan our lives, but God redirects our steps. What plans have you made for your life? Has God been included in your plans? In fact, has God made clear “the plans He has for your life?” We read in this chapter; “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He even makes his enemies at peace with him.” “When one commits himself to the Lord, his thoughts will be established.” “Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established.” Thanks be unto God for the plans He has for our lives. We just have to follow them. He knows the way we take. Take inventory of your life today and see if you are following God’s blueprint for your life. If not, you have time to allow Him to redirect your plans. When you follow God, you cannot go wrong. He will make something beautiful of your life. I know this to be true, for I am a witness that God’s plans are the best plans for our lives. Speak to your children about the plans that God has for their lives. As parents, we sometimes inject our own plans for our children’s life. This is not altogether bad, but the best plan is to follow God’s plan. Our plans may fail but God’s plans will never fail.
