PERSISTENCE
We must continue to be faithful regardless of our circumstances. He grants us the ability to continue seeking Him with tenacity when we do not know how or when He will come to our rescue. Persistence is a quality that many of us lack, but we need to remember that the race is not given to the swift, but to those who endure to the end. In Acts 12:16, we find these words:
“Meanwhile, Peter continued knocking. When they finally opened the door and saw him, they were amazed.”
In this chapter we find that a group had gathered to pray for Peter’s release from prison. In Acts 12: 1-11, we see that right after his trial, an angel appeared and rescued him. The persistent prayers of the people were answered. Upon his release, Peter went to the house where they had been praying and kept knocking on the door. When they opened the door, they were amazed that their prayers had been answered! Read this entire chapter when you get a chance, then know, without a shadow of a doubt, that God will bless us if we remain persistent in our prayers and in our faith.
