The peace of God is amazing. Perfect peace is to be able to rest in Him, completely. It is too wonderful to put into words, the wonder of having peace even in the midst of storms. We need that peace because life can be troubling, at times; disappointing, at times. But the peace of God allows us to rest on His promise. We should be able to go to bed at night and sleep in peace, and then wake up in the morning, having the Peace of God in our hearts. This is God’s gift to us if we will receive it. When you read the book of Isaiah, you will find peace in Isaiah 26:3:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

The writer is well aware that God’s peace is present for those who trust in Him. He begins this chapter by giving God praise and acknowledging the strong hand of God. He goes on to say that those who trust in Him will be blessed beyond measure; those who are righteous will receive blessings from on high. His love for the Lord is deep and he is convinced that the peace of God is with him. When you get a chance, read this entire chapter that you too make explore the wonder of God’s Perfect Peace.
