Today’s devotion centers on the story of Abraham’s obedience to the Lord step by step. Consider how many steps you have taken towards trusting God. Prayerfully you can look back and see how God has blessed you as you obeyed Him one step at a time. In Genesis 22:2, we find these words:

“Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

To get to Moriah, Abraham had to travel a long way; however he did as God commanded. But when Abraham got to the place where the Lord directed, the Lord already had a ram in the fire! That’s how God works! When we trust Him, He will always come through with blessings that we cannot even imagine! Not only will He lead us every step of the way, but He will be there before we get there with what we need. Trust God today. Prayerfully, you will be obedient as you take one step at a time.
