Every believer will be faced with battles. The enemy will come at us from every side. There is no need for us to worry or feel defeated, regardless of how enormous Satan might come after us. He can only go so far. We sometimes spend too much time living in despair and worrying about the enemy’s plots and plans. We have the assurance that no weapon formed against us will prosper. It is God’s promise to His people. We can depend upon that and rely upon it. I know this to be true for I have faced the enemy countless times. I am sure that there was a time when the enemy thought that he had won. But, I have a testimony today. The Lord was with me every step of the way. Praise be unto God. Isaiah 54:17 is our scriptural lesson today.

“But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Here, the Prophet Isaiah shared with God’s people that God was with them. He told them that no matter how the enemy came against them, the enemy would not succeed. Isaiah wanted them to know that they could go on with their lives and not have to live in shame or pain. God would vindicate them. He assured them that whoever attacked them would go down in defeat.  The benefits that they received were due to God’s grace and mercy. This chapter reveals God’s promises to His people in Jerusalem. Those same promises are ours to receive today.
