The Lord is merciful and kind to all His people.  He does not withhold anything from us.  Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord as He blesses us all with blessings from on High (James 1:17).  He does
not pick and choose or have favorites; instead, we are all recipients of His riches.  He does not punish us by holding back our daily blessings from us, for morning-by-morning, new mercies are ours to see. Think
about how we refuse to bless each other. For example, as parents we withhold blessings from our children as a means of disciplining them.  I know there were times when it was necessary for me to keep things from my children to teach them a lesson. What if God did that to us?  Where would we be? I thank God today that our God did not withhold anything from us even though we may have deserved it. In Psalm 84:11, we find these words:

“For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory.The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.”

The psalmist declares that our God gives grace and glory, and therefore He would withhold nothing from His children.  The psalmist closes this chapter by acknowledging that those who trust in the Lord will be blessed. This is a remarkable indication of God’s great love for us. I find myself in awe as I look at what the Lord has done in my life knowing that I have not deserved the blessings He has sent my way.  I can truly say He has never withheld anything from me.  All that I have, and all that I ever will be, is because of Him.  To God be the glory for the great things He has done!
