We have heard today’s devotional scripture many times. It is also one of my favorites because it talks about what happens when we wait on the Lord. When we are weakened, weary and worn, we can gain new strength if we wait on Him. Take a moment and ask yourself, “do I have the strength to wait on the Lord or have I given up on waiting?” I pray that we each find new strength. I pray that these words are not merely penned on paper, but that they find their way to our hearts. In Isaiah 40:31, we find these familiar words:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

The prophet Isaiah speaks these prophetic words. Praise God, our strength  will be renewed when we wait on Him! The weary will find rest and the worn will be energized. He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might. He provides increased strength. I will close this devotion by simply saying, “Wait on the Lord. He will give you strength for today and hope for tomorrow. He will give you peace, and your waiting will not be in vain. Be blessed today. Continue to put your faith and trust in God for new strength.”
