Much Beloved
God loves us beyond our own comprehension. We are very much loved. The songwriter writes, “Oh, love that will not let me go. I rest my weary soul in thee. I give you back the life I owe.” God’s love is everlasting. No one can love us like God. Regardless of all that we do that displeases Him, God never stops loving us. In Daniel 9:23, we find these words:
“’The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.’“
Daniel had been praying, when Gabriel, the angel, came to him in verse 22, saying, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding.” The angel reminded Daniel that he is precious in God’s sight. Because of Daniel’s great love for God, he is able to understand. It is so important for us to have an intimate relationship with God, so that we can discern and correctly interpret the angels or visions that God sends us. He wants us to gain His wisdom and understanding, and to know that we are deeply loved. God has given us favor. Prayerfully, we have gathered that from this devotion. Never forget, especially in times of trouble, trials and tribulations, that we are all beloved by God.
