Deacon Ministry

Deacons are servant leaders responsible for caring and ministering to the diverse needs of the congregation and those in the surrounding community. Deacons understand and proactively respond to the needs of the congregation, and model a life of prayer, worship, praise, humanity, commitment, accountability, and social justice consciousness. We are active in the community through various outreach programs including Back to School (supply) initiative, Educational Scholarships, and holiday out reach.

Deaconess Ministry

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Deaconess Ministry of Bethlehem Baptist Church is to be used by God to support the Pastor, work with the Deacons in ministering to the needs of the congregation, assist with Baptism and Communion and to promote spiritual growth in the lives of women and young adults in accordance with Titus 2:3-5. The Deaconess Ministry are servant leaders responsible for caring and ministering to the diverse needs of the congregation and model a life of prayer, worship, praise, humanity, commitment, accountability, and social justice consciousness. In the role of Triumph representatives, the Deaconess provide support, comfort and encouragement to families during the loss of a loved one by assisting with funeral or memorial services arrangements as needed.  They visit the sick and shut-in who cannot attend regular services as well as spearheading charitable efforts in the community.

Men's Ushers

The BBC Men's Usher Ministry are the doorkeepers that greet you with a friendly ‘Hello’ and ushers everyone into the sanctuary who seek to put God’s love into action! The Ushers take great pride in providing church member services during worship and are happy to lend a helping hand in assisting our congregation.

Hosting various fund-raising activities throughout the year has enabled the BBC Men's Usher Ministry to make charitable donations to the Edward Tally Memorial Scholarship Fund benefitting accomplished Senior High School Students aspiring to further their education.

Trustee Ministry

The Trustee Ministry is comprised of over 40 dedicated individuals who are in consult with the Pastor and dedicated to using their talents and expertise to the glory of God, while serving the church body.

The BBC Trustee Ministry is entrusted with care and oversight of church assets to further the mission of the church in consultation with the Pastor. The trustee ministry supervises and maintains BBC’s physical properties and gifts presented to the congregation while ensuring all legal matters related to the church’s assets are satisfied. Trustees leverage their talents and expertise to the glory of God, while serving the Church body.

Current projects include expansion of the church parking lot, increased technological capabilities, and legacy sustainment through BBC’s W.O.W endowment fund (embed new page link here).

Women's Ministry

The Women's Spiritual Emphasis Ministry (WSEM) is truly to committed to a purposeful calling. To inform, inspire, encourage, and strengthen our faith and bodies while using our spiritual gifts to do God's work is our dedicated mission. We extend an open invitation welcoming inspired sisters of all ages who wish to join us.

The WSEM successfully accomplished efforts to complete the Church Pictorial Directory, a respected tradition designed to assist members in identifying leaders, community, and church family. As well, sponsoring and hosting the annual Women's Retreat for Fellowship and Learning continues to be a great success.

Sponsorship from the Women's Spiritual Emphasis Ministry facilitates the development of church plaques that

Music Ministry

The music ministry celebrates God’s presence in worship and while developing, learning, and serving God’s people through music, fellowship, and reverence for Jesus Christ. We strive to encourage believers through lifting the Lord in praise while sharing the gospel with nonbelievers through song and celebration. The music ministry has a place for every member of any age and seeks new ways to bring the gospel to the world.
