MAKE WISE DECISIONS

In life, we are called to make decisions. It seems that every day there are decisions to make regarding our walk with God, our families, and our jobs. We cannot escape the fact that we are constantly making decisions. Those decisions need to be wise. One wrong decision can turn our lives upside down. We always need to be prayerful and mindful before we make a choice as what to do and how to do it. I would argue that many people are in trouble because of wrong decisions made. They did not consult God and went on their own. We need to pray to God for discernment and wisdom to know what to do. Our decision-making not only affects us, but our families and others around us. It also speaks clearly about our beliefs in God. We have to live by the power of God. Our text is Ephesians 5:15.

“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.”

In this text, Paul writes about living in the light. One needs to determine what pleases God. One cannot live in the darkness of evil and sin. So, Paul writes that we cannot live any ole’ way. Not to live as fools live, but like those who are wise in godly wisdom. Consequently, the decisions we make should always be by the power of the Holy Spirit that guides and leads us. He writes that we should take advantage of every opportunity that God gives. Do not waste a day. Glorify God today! Be wise in how you live and think. Your thoughts should honor God as you seek His power and discernment in making good, sound decisions.
