There are many choices that we must make in this life. Discernment from the Lord will ensure that the decisions that we make are the right choices. When we think about some of the decisions that we made in the past, some of them have not always been the right ones. Some of us chose to do things our own way, only to discover that these were bad decisions. We should always seek to make the right choice to
follow Him and to do what is right and honorable. We know that we should make wise decisions, the question is: are we willing to make the right choice? In Deuteronomy 30:19, we find these words:

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”

The writer makes clear that God has given the people a choice between life and death. He says the same in verse 15, saying, “Now listen. Today I’m giving a choice between life and death …” and again in verse 16, saying, “I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands …. …” This guidance is true for us today. To choose life, we must love the Lord by obeying Him and committing ourselves to Him. This is the key. God is giving us a choice. Choose this day whom you will serve. Prayerfully, we have all made the decision to follow the Lord
