MADE IN HIS IMAGE
The day I penned this devotion, we were gathered in the Church Without Walls. We began the service by giving God thanks. We are thankful that God created us in His own image and that we are unique and special in His sight. Regardless of what others think or say about us, we have been uniquely made and shaped by God’s grace and mercy. No one can take that away from us. God loved us so much that He created each one of us with a unique and gifted spirit. We have not been cloned but made uniquely. Take a moment to imagine your likeness to God: holy and pure. When we realize that, we have something to live up to. Our scripture reference is Romans 8:29.
“For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
” In this moving passage, God had already ordained that we would become His children. In God’s harmony, He created us, and nothing can separate us from His love. Paul writes, “All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” God knows what will happen before it happens. His love for us provides the strength we need to go through whatever life brings our way. Because we are made in His image, we have the power to live a victorious life. No one can ever separate from His love. Look in the mirror. Cast a reflection upon yourself and be able to say without arrogance, but with thanksgiving and humility, “Thank you, God for making me the way you have.”
