This devotion should cause us to shout because the Lord has changed us — He has made us brand-new! Wonderful changes have taken place in our lives, and we give  God praise! Let me be clear: we are not perfect — we still have our faults. But God has given us a new lease on life — old things have passed away. Take a moment and look at the changes that God has made in your life. We can say like the words of the song, “A wonderful change has come over me.”  A new life has begun. It does not yet appear what we shall be. In 2 Corinthians 5:17,we find these words:

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Here Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, makes clear that changes come to those who follow Christ. All of these changes are a gift from God. God gives us the gift of reconciling people to Him. Christ died for our sins so we can be made right with God. Remember the devotion for today — our brand-new life in Christ!
