Thank God, for His love that covers all our sins. I do mean all! The Lord’s love for us is shown by shedding His blood on the cross. The songwriter wrote, “What can wash away our sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.” With that knowledge, we do not have to walk imprisoned and bound by the sins we have committed. When we ask Him for forgiveness and repent, His love covers us, and we are set free. Whom God sets free is free indeed. Let us be clear. All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Therefore, none of us can claim to be sinless, but those who have come to know the Master can live a life without spot or blemish. It does not matter how people might remind you of your sins. His love has covered you and forgiven you. That ought to give you reason to shout and praise Him. The scripture reference in I Peter 4:8.

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”

The writer indicates that we ought to love and support each other. Love has covered all the multitudes of sin. Peter is saying that love atones for other people’s sins. In this chapter, Peter urges them to be kind and be hospitable to one another. Don’t hold grudges. Remember that true love is expressed in the love of Christ for sinners. The Lord’s love that has covered our sins allows us to love others, in spite of their sins. We cannot say that we love God without loving others. Always remember that as you seek another’s sins, God’s love has covered your sins. That allows you to love other sinners. When you can, read this chapter. Don’t miss this important lesson. When you get this lesson, it will prevent you from judging and criticizing others because you know what God has done for you by forgiving your sins.
