LOVE AND LOYALTY

I would argue strongly that love and loyalty go together. When you love someone, you are loyal to that person; you cannot separate one from the other. We have seen those who say they love us, but don’t show loyalty, as well as those who claim to be loyal but don’t always show love. But God always loves us and is always loyal to us. Take the time today give God thanks for how His love never ceases and for how we can always depend on Him no matter what. We are obligated to be loyal to Him and to love Him. Ask yourself these questions, “When you say that you love God are you loyal to Him? Can He count on you? Can He depend on you?” Our Scripture reference is Proverbs 3:3 and reads in this matter:

“Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.”

The writer makes it clear not to let go of loyalty and kindness but keep it deep within your heart. He goes on to say that you will find favor with God if you trust the Lord with all your heart. Don’t depend on your own understanding, and seek His will in all that you do. He further advises that you should trust God completely so that your love for Him is shown in ways that He will be given the glory and honor. When your loyalty to Him is true you will be able to say, “I love the Lord He heard my cry.” As long as I live I’ll be loyal to Him. I’m praying that your prayer today is that you remain loyal for the rest of your life and that you love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind.
