LIVE THE GOOD LIFE
When I think of this devotion entitled, Live The Good Life, my immediate response is what is a good life? People have many definitions. How would you define the good life? The good life is not found in worldly things, although there is nothing wrong in possessing things. Things are temporary: here today end gone tomorrow. It is not eat, drink and be merry. There is more to the good life than that. In my humble view, living the good life is living for Christ, and knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Nothing can be compared to a life lived in Jesus. Today’s devotion scripture reference is Ephesians 2:10.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
The writer speaks of being alive in Christ. God has saved us by His grace. There is nothing in our power to earn His grace, for it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none can boast. In the text it says we have been created as God’s masterpiece. We are created new to do great and glorious things in His name. He planned for us to do things and to live a good life. When we give our life to Him, those plans become reality. I pray that you are living your life in Christ and are experiencing bountiful blessings from on high. I pray you have received His favor, mercy and love. That is the good life. Thank God for it.
