We walk by faith and not by sight. In other words, we live by faith. Our faith is in the Almighty God. But we cannot live by faith with a weak, feeble faith. Our faith in God must be strong because there will be times when our faith will be tested. That is, when we will need to let God’s power bring us through, that is the only way to live: trusting and believing in God. When we live by faith, we also know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We believe that God has the power in every circumstance to bring us through. In Hebrews 10:38,we find these words:

“And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”

The writer calls upon the people to trust God and to remember how faithful they were in the past through some difficult times. He tells them, in verses 36 and 37, “Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised….” He wants them to be strong in the Lord.  In the next chapter, he gives them great examples of faith. Prayerfully, each of us have examples of what it means to live by faith. We must trust God every step of the way.
