Every morning on the Church Without Walls call, we gather for worship. It is my heart’s desire that our worship is real. It is so important that whenever we gather for worship, our worship is sincere and true. Worship gives glory and honor to God, and God is pleased when our hearts are open to Him. You cannot have a true worship experience with the Lord when you have anger and resentment in your heart. We must have a clean heart, free of resentment and anger so that our worship experience can be real. In Matthew 4:10, we find these words:

“‘Get out of here, Satan,’ Jesus told him.  ‘For the Scriptures say, You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”

Matthew gives an account of Jesus being tempted by the devil. The Master fasted 40 days and nights, and became hungry. The devil offered to turn the stones to bread, but Jesus said, in verse 4, “People do not live by bread alone…..” The devil continued to try to tempt Jesus, but Jesus never gave in to the devil. The devil tried his best to have the Master kneel and worship him, but Jesus knew that worship must be real. Jesus told Satan, “You must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.” When you get a chance, read this entire story.  Prayerfully, we will all come to know whether our worship is real.
