LET GOD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS
As I ponder over this devotion for today, I was led to begin by simply saying, “Don’t try to solve your problems by yourself.” No matter how much knowledge you may have, we are not equipped to solve our problems. Far too often, when the truth is told, we make a mess when we seek to solve our own problems. In fact, we sometimes make things harder than they really are. We need to understand our limitations. Only the Lord can solve our problems. Take your problems to the Lord and let Him be your problem-solver. Make no mistake; there is no problem or burden that He cannot fix. I Peter 5:7 is our scriptural text today.
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”
In this moving passage of scripture, the writer makes clear that we are to give all our worries and cares to God. Notice the word all: all problems, all burdens, and all troubles. God can do all things and do all things well. Peter adds that God cares about us so much that we can bring our burdens to Him. What a wonderful invitation God has extended to us that we don’t need to carry our worries alone. He cares so much about us that He will help us in our time of need. Understand these words: seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be open to you. All who seek will find, and all who knock shall find the door open. God is there to handle our problems. Give them to God.
