LET GOD KNOW WHAT YOU NEED
“The God we serve is able to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory.” We need always to remember that. Far too often thoughts come into our mind that convince us that God is not aware of what we are going through, because He does not answer right away when we call. However, be assured that His delay does not mean that he does not care or does not know what we stand in need of. It is important for us to tell Him what we need. On the other hand, He knows what we need before we even ask. There is nothing we need that He cannot supply. He can meet every need, not some of our needs or a portion of our needs or just a few of our needs. But, all of them. The scripture reference this morning speaks of full assurance that our God knows exactly what we need. In Philippians 4:6 we read:
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”
Paul writes that we need to let God know what we need. Also, do it in prayer and with thanksgiving. Paul’s admonition for the people of God is that they must pray at all times to give God thanks. Paul says to have no anxiety about anything. Do not allow yourself to become weary and worn, but know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God’s grace is sufficient. Throughout this chapter, Paul calls upon God’s people to rejoice always, even in the midst of trials and troubles. Ultimately, God’s amazing grace, which is sufficient, will be made known. Prayerfully today, you have no anxiety or fear about what you are going through and know that He is ready to meet your every need.
