I am often amazed at funeral service how people make these long speeches about how they loved their loved one. There are also times that they say they have not talked to the deceased in a long time, but now want to express their love. It is important to speak words of love while loved ones can hear them. Similarly, it is also important each day to let God know how much you love Him. We make petition, but forget to add our love and adoration praying, “Lord I love and thank you.” When you love someone, express it. Today, tell the Lord that you love Him. Tell your family and friends today that you love them. Love is an action word. Do not just say it: show it! Today’s devotion is found in Luke 11:13.

“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.”

In this passage, we see the Master acknowledging His love for us. Luke writes that whatever you need, knock, seek and you will find. Those of us who have been knocking have had our prayers answered. We ought to give the Lord thanks right now and tell Him we love how He supplies our needs according to His riches in glory. I wish I had the ability to make this clearer. As I conclude this devotion, I remind you to let the Lord know how much you love Him. Do not go another day without telling the Lord how much you love Him. Tell Him, and then show it with all that is within you. If I could sing, I would sing, “I really love the Lord. You don’t know what He has done for me. He has given me the victory. I really love the Lord. ”
