LET GOD BE IN YOU

It is my fervent prayer, as I write this devotion, that God is in each of us. When God resides in us, we are able to do great and glorious things in His name. God blesses us each day, and we’re able to do the things that please Him. The Word says, in Philippians 4:13. “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” Praise God! When God resides in us, there is nothing that we cannot do. With God, all things are possible. In Philippians 1:6, we find these words:

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

Paul writes to his fellow believers, telling them that every time he thinks of them, he gives thanks to God. He prays that God will continue the good work that He started in them. He wants their love for God and for others to overflow, and he wants them to be filled with the fruits of salvation, to have a righteous character, and to do the work that God has called them to do. He prays earnestly that God may give them grace and peace. That is my prayer today, that God will give each of us His grace and peace, and that we will continue to let Him reside in us so that we may continue do His good work.
