LEAN ON THE LORD
Thanks be unto God that we can lean on Him. He has invited us to bring our burdens and cares to Him for He cares for us. His strength is sufficient to handle all of our needs. We can depend on and count on God, for He never slumbers nor sleeps. When difficult times come in your lives, and they will, lean on the Lord. You will find the strength that you need. Our scripture reference for this devotion is Psalm 37:5.
. The New Living Translation reads in this way:
“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.”
The psalmist begins by saying not to worry about those who will do you wrong. They will soon be cut off. Put your trust in the Lord and do good. Lean on the Lord, for He will give you the desires of your heart. The psalmist says commit everything you do to the Lord. Underline everything. Everything thing you do – do to the glory of God and put your complete trust in Him. This powerful psalm tells God’s people not to become angry, worry about evil doers, but lean on the everlasting arms of the Lord. I pray that you have learned to lean on Him and you are a witness that God has the power to bring you through whatever life brings your way.
