I am always amazed how some believers are quick to judge and criticize others.  For some reason they feel as though they are perfect and without fault, but the reality is none of us are perfect, nor can any of us keep all of the Laws.  We may well be able to keep certain laws, which can cause us to believe we have arrived.  However, it is impossible, totally impossible, for us to live without breaking any laws. This is why grace is so valuable and important. A portion of scripture speaks to us about this matter of keeping the law.  It is found in James 2:10 where we find these words:

“For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.”

In this epistle, James makes the point that whoever keeps the whole law but fails at one point is still guilty.  We may not commit adultery or murder, but that in no way indicates we are free from breaking the law.  That is why none of us should boast or brag about our goodness, for without the grace and mercy of God we would all be found guilty.  We should always strive to live godly lives and to honor and obey the laws God has given. Remember, no matter how hard we try, we still fall short.  Praise God today for covering us and keeping us when we miss the mark.
