I am truly grateful that Jesus is a healer. We pray daily for a number of people who are listed on the healing and recovery list. Most recently I found myself among them. I praise God for our ministers, deacons, deaconess, and missionaries who visit and express love and support to everyone. I give God the highest praise for the caregivers who provide loving and tender care to the many family members and friends. But no matter what we do, we are inadequate when it comes to healing. We can pray for healing, and we can extend gratitude to our physicians for their gifted hands. But we must turn to Jesus for His Healing Hands.  In Luke 4:40, we find these words:

“ As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed everyone.”

Jesus laid His hands on those with various diseases. The compassionate Christ touched all those who were sick and brought forth healing and comfort. It is my prayer today that we all know that He’s a mighty good doctor who has healing for our bodies, minds and souls. Praise God!
