It is not difficult to follow the Lord. We make it harder than it really is. It does require sacrifice and obedience; however, if we truly have a desire to keep the Lord’s commandments, we can! He has given us the strength to do it if we allow Him to lead us. We have difficulty because of our flesh, ego, and pride. However, once we submit to God, we can fulfill His will and purpose in our lives, no matter the situation. In Deuteronomy 30:11, we find these words:

“’This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, and it is not beyond your reach.’”

In Deuteronomy 30:10, the writer says,” The LORD your God will delight in you if you obey His voice ….” He tells the people that God’s Word is near. What is required of them is not too difficult to achieve. It does not require great searching for the mysteries in the uttermost parts of the universe. The Word has been revealed and is as near as hearing and receiving. They can carry out His Word by faith. They can live according to His purpose by faith. They can achieve all that God has for them to do. There is nothing preventing them, for He has given them the power to do great things in His name. It is my prayer today, that we have progressed far beyond what we thought to be impossible, and that we know that all things are possible with God. With Him, it’s not difficult!
