INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH
I believe with all my heart that when we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are compelled to invite someone else to share that love. When something good happens in your life, it is normal for us to want others to know. Of all the things in our lives, the best thing in life that we will ever receive is having Christ come into our lives. Think for a few moments. When something astonishing and meaningful happens to you, you want to tell others. That is the same feeling that comes when the Lord blesses your life. Someone told me, and I feel compelled to tell someone else. Psalm 37:23 is our text today about Christ.
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”
Throughout this psalm, the psalmist shares the love of God. He goes into great detail telling the story of God’s goodness, love, and tender mercy. He calls on the people to commit themselves to the Lord, trust in Him for His guidance and help. The Lord has done that for him, and he wants to tell others. The psalmist indicates that the Lord takes delight in every detail of their lives. His heart is overflowing as he bears witness to the never-ending love of God. The psalmist wants the readers to know that they can find the help they need in times of trouble. He extends an invitation to them to come to God today. “Come ye all that are heavy laden, and He will give you rest.” One of the great joys for the believer is to have invited someone to Christ, who has accepted the invitation and is now walking with Christ.
