Countless people need a breakthrough. Men and women of God are going through trials. Perhaps this is not you as you read this devotion. Just keep on living, for trouble will come your way and you will need a breakthrough. None of us can escape our shares of trials. God’s Word says we will have trials and troubles in our lives. Thanks be unto God that it does not stop there. Be of good cheer, for the Word says, “For He has overcome the world”. He is able to provide a breakthrough. In Psalm 31:15:

“My future is in Your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.”

In this passage, the psalmist cries out to the Lord seeking deliverance from his enemies. He petitions the Lord to send forth a breakthrough. In the previous verse, he indicates that he trusts God and says, “Thou art my God.” The psalmist is confident that the Lord is able to deliver him. He recognizes that his time is in the Lord’s hands. He will recover because of God’s power. His life has been one of misery and pain, yet, he does not lose hope for he knows the Lord will make a way of escape. What a powerful testimony, that although his life is filled with heartache, he remains hopeful in God. It is my prayer today that you have that hope and know that weeping might endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. A bright side is somewhere and God will bless you with a breakthrough.
