Imagine New Ways To Bring People To Jesus
Our theme this year has been “Imagine.” This is taken from Ephesians 3:20 (NIV), “Now to Him who is able to do immensely more than we can ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.” We are commissioned by the Lord to bring others to Christ. This year, we are imagining new ways of doing ministry. We are called to evangelize. We can’t wait for people to come to the House of God, we must go out and bring them to the House of God. However, we want to imagine new ways to do this. The methods we used before may be good, but we need to incorporate new and exciting ways to bring others to Christ. In John 1:42, we find these words:
“Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, ‘Your name is Simon, son of John—but you will be called Cephas’ (which means ‘Peter.’)”
This is the story where one disciple brought his brother to Jesus. Jesus gave the brother a new name which meant “rock.” As you read this entire story, you will see how the Master blessed those who were brought to Him. I pray, today that not only will we each bring others to meet Jesus, but we will continue to imagine new ways of doing ministry. What new ministries should be implemented to encourage others to worship with us? What can we do outside the walls of the church building to spread the word that “Jesus Christ is the way?” Imagine new ways to invite someone to meet Him. Blessings are waiting for everyone!
