What a wonderful blessing it is to rejoice in the Lord, to see His handiworks, and to declare His Holiness! We rejoice and give Him praise, glory and honor. We acknowledge His sovereignty, we are grateful for our salvation and we know that the joy of the Lord is our strength! In Habakkuk 3:18, we find these words:

“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord!I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!.”

The prophet of the Lord rejoices in the God of his salvation. He says in verse 19,  “The Sovereign Lord is my strength!…” His heart is on fire as he rejoices in the blessings of the Lord. He is assured that God is with him and he praises God for all that He has done and continues to do. It is my fervent prayer today that we are all able to rejoice in the Lord. When we look back over our lives, I pray that we can say like Habakkuk “the Lord is my strength, my rock, my light, and my salvation.”  I pray that we take great delight in rejoicing in Him and that we never let a day go by without praising Him. Take time now to reflect upon God’s blessings, then give Him praise, wherever you are —in your home or on your job. You don’t
have to make a loud noise, but let your heart rejoice in the goodness of the Lord!
