I AM IN LOVE WITH GOD

I recently preached a sermon entitled “SWAG” (SWAG=Someone Who Adores God.) For anyone who loves God, this is not just a sermon title, but it is an expression from my heart. God has been so good and so kind to me. I love the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind. I know I’m not alone. Countless others can say with no reservation that they also love the Lord. As long as I live, I will praise His name. I am not ashamed to say, “I love the Lord.” Prayerfully you aren’t either! In fact, I have also said that I love that I love the giver of the gift more than the gift. This simply means that I love the Lord more than I do family, because He is the one who gave them to me. That takes nothing away from them. It just means that I am in love with God! In Psalm 27:8 read these words:

My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.’”

The Psalmist expresses his deep and genuine love of the Lord. In Psalm 27:1 the Psalmist writes, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” He acknowledges that he loves the Lord with all his heart as he prays for the Lord to be merciful. When you get a chance, read the 27th and 28th Psalm, and then think back over your life about all that He has done for you. Prayerfully, you will be able to join with me in saying, “I am in love with God!”
